"Krupuk" crackers :

These works started out as store bought uncooked flat prawn crackers . Using a slotted ladle an
oiled wok I cooked and sorted them by size and shape appeal.
Decisions on the figures are made as there affixed to a bamboo skewer and a wooden base.

The intent is that they relate to our collective myth of statues and figurative art. Many are just in a
pose while others are in a mock physical combat with skewers.
With a direct light the surface is solid and flesh like, behind -the cracker glows as if made of glass.
Visually eventually we relinquish squinting at the figures accuracy and accept their distortions
and the surface patina.

Digital images can be made available .

( The crackers are just too fragile. )
