Linda DeLuca

As a child, I have been drawn to colour and shapes, in my kindergarten class I produced a colourful necklace made out of construction paper and straws. I remember wearing it proudly. This simple activity was a beginning to developing my creative side. My current body of work has evolved from my personal experiences and memories being evoked such as late. There was a tree dying in my backyard, and we had to remove it. Suddendly, ideas of animals started to play in my head. With those ideas I have incorporated some narrative imagery to work with the subject of animals-both wild and domestic. Using, a childlike and illustrative approach to this new style/exploration has broadened my imagination of the endless possiblilities to approach each piece.
